Abstract

The present research aims to examine and match the levels of gene expression which have a strong effect on glucosinolate production and sulforaphane metabolism in Broccoli. The expression of each gene exists on eight cultivars of broccoli which are planted in Iraq on 8/8/2020. The experiment carried out during winter, the agricultural season, from 2020 to 2021 in Nineveh Governorate, Mosul, and Rashidiya (Longitude: E° 47.06 Latitude: N° 30.29).

These groups are Premium. Crop, Green Magic, Precoce Dicalabria, Broccolo Natalino, Atlantis, Broccolo Destate, Calabrese Natalino, liberty and the quantitative real time PCR based polymerase chain was used. RNA can be transformed to CDNA, and quick intensification and measurement of the level of gene expression (One - Step RT-qPCR). The results indicate that the CYP79F1 gene is stronger than the rest of previous studies genes in terms of the level of gene expression, especially in the cultivar Broccolo Natalino where CT =29.73 followed by the cult Precoce Dicalabria where CT = 30.09. The rest of the cultivars were close in terms of expressiveness and with a value less than the control sample, which is (Precoce Dicalabria).
