Abstract

Based on own results the action of probiotic recognition factors in regulation of human
microbiocenoses were overviewed. Probiotic lectin systems (PLS) behave like a participant of the
cytokine network in organism, imitates main properties of probiotics, synchronize metabolic
processes, co-function to other protector types. Being on the probiotic cell surface, PLS are involved
in relationships between communicating microbiocenosis cell populations as in cases of “Yeast like
fungi—Probiotic bacteria” microecological niche rearrangement at the level of biofilm. PLS influence
status of microbiocenosis mycoparasitism, act as a factor limiting inter-fungal communications.
Results indicate a high potential of PLS in prophylaxis and therapy as well as for medical
biotechnology.
