Abstract

Syndactyly is one the commonest seen anomalies in hand or plasty surgery clinics nowadays. The
timing and orderly steps of surgery dictate the surgery on syndactyly. The goal of surgery is non other
than creation of a normal anatomical webspaces, a tension-free closure of soft tissue and return of
functions to the fingers. Numerous surgical methods have been described, many of which involve the
use of local flaps to reconstruct the commissure and full-thickness skin grafts for coverage of the raw
area. In this report, we described a bilateral syndromic syndactyly treated by release and full-thickness
skin grafting from groin. Staged release of complex (four digit) syndactyly is utmost important and
clinical result is very good.
