Abstract

Life being a changing phenomenon, is influenced by quality of life. The present book analyzes how quality of life changes from different perspectives such as human security, safety, health, social mobility, human capital, industrial perspectives, industrialization, urbanization, productivity, water and food, childbearing, girls education, population and development, migration, demographic challenges, projection of population growth, quality of life in Asia as a whole and many more known as the indicators affecting quality of life. The present book is framed with emphasis on the above indicators. Life is prone to change from different perspectives. Extension of competition of mass media, transportation, languages and many

more have facilitated communications between individuals. Sociology of quality of life as a new branch of study is very essential for all students of social sciences and humanities. Study of quality of life is promoted through which a better life could be planned for and made. Better and longer life expectancy for all people could be reached through enhancement of quality of life in all directions. Quality of life points to the policies which would eventually impact the life of all categories of people. Study of quality of life is related to psychology, economics, sociology and demography. It causes elimination of poverty, better exploitation of resources, etc. Sociology of quality of life is an interdisciplinary subject affecting all other disciplines.
