Background: Cervical cancer is been the 4th most common cancer in women from developing countries mainly in the rural population who are poor ignorant regarding health care.conventional pap smear even though a useful screening method, has some limitations like obscuring factors and inadequate samples.
Aim: The study objective are to 1)study The ancillary methods like , Liquid based cytology, cell block technique, immunomarkers in cytology , HPV testing in liquid based cytology and molecular markers in cervical cytology2) to study their role in improving the diagnostic accuracy of cervical cancer by overcoming the limitations of conventional pap smears.
National screening programmes should include all the screening methods.
